2012 Winter Woodlot Conference - Kemptville

Registration is now open for the 25th annual Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference to be held on Wednesday, February 22 at the W.B. George Centre on the Kemptville Campus of the University of Guelph. This annual educational and networking event is a must-attend for private woodlot owners, and associated commercial, service, government, and non-government organizations.

This year’s theme is:"Today's Woodlot Threats and Opportunities" and features speakers and exhibitors that will address today's threats to our woodlots, and management advice on how best to tackle them.

Do you own a woodlot of five acres or more in Eastern Ontario? Are you interested in learning more about your woodlot and how to manage it?  Thanks to funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the United Counties of Prescott-Russell, a free Woodlot Advisory Service is now available to you. 

As a woodlot owner, you have access to bilingual woodlot technician who can evaluate your site, suggest management options, and introduce you to available programs that will allow you to meet your objectives. Forestry resources including contact information for local woodlot owner associations and forestry consultants will also be provided.
