Councillor Moffatt welcoming blind in-line skater visiting City Hall today

Mark DeMontis, a blind hockey player on a journey from Halifax to Toronto on in-line skates, will visit Ottawa City Hall on Friday.

Councillor Scott Moffatt will greet Mr. DeMontis upon arrival. The parents of Mr. DeMontis are also scheduled to attend.

Mr. DeMontis, through an initiative Courage Canada, is raising funds and awareness for learn-to-skate programs and hockey programs for Canadians who are blind or visually impaired.
