Goulbourn Museum - "Preserving Our Past: A Conservation Project"

Goulbourn Museum will be hosting the exhibition Preserving Our Past: A Conservation Project. The exhibition documents the conservation work recently undertaken by a number of Ottawa's local museums and showcases the conservation process of several artefacts. The artefacts Goulbourn Museum had treated will be on display, as well as before and after images of other artefacts conserved and information about the science of conservation.

The exhibit will be touring several of Ottawa's local museums over the next two years, but is currently on display at Goulbourn Museum from April 15 to June 26, 2011. This project is an initiative of the Ottawa Museum Network. The Ottawa Museum Network works together to promote and advance the interests of member museums by engaging the audience and in telling the greater Ottawa story.

The Goulbourn Museum is located at 2064 Huntley Road, just south of Stittsville at Stanley’s Corners. For more information, visit www.goulbournmuseum.ca, call 613-831-2393 or email education@goulbournmuseum.ca.
