ITR Theatre Presents "Waiting for the Parade" by John Murrell

Postcard-front-draft6.png

ITR Theatre Company is really excited to be presenting Waiting for the Parade by John Murrell this fall.

The play is a series of vignettes about five Calgary women on the home front in the Second World War. It's a celebration of the unsung heroes of war, the women that sustain the nation while men are enthralled in conflicts. It's a time fraught with loneliness, propaganda and rationing.

Waiting for the Parade will be performed on November 9, 10, and 16 through 18. November 9 and 16 are evening shows starting at 7:30 PM; November 10 and 17 are our delicious dinner theatres which start at 6:00 pm and November 18 is a matinee with cookies and tea/coffee and starts at 2:00 PM.

As usual, the performances will be held in the upstairs hall at the Osgoode Community Centre at 5662 Osgoode Maine, K0A 2W0.

Tickets are $20 for adult, $16 for seniors/students and $55 for the dinner.

Tickets went on sale September 24. They can be purchased at http://www.itrtheatre.com/ or by calling 613-800-1165.

Mandala Dot Painting at the Manotick Library

This fall the Manotick Library will be hosting several art programs where adults can experience Mandala drawing, Zentangle and Mandala dot painting.  Each person will create their own unique puzzle piece that will be displayed in the library to create a large puzzle of art.  These self directed programs will allow you to explore the art and no experience is necessary.  Staff will provide the tools to get you started so join us, tell your friends and have fun creating!
