Hydro Ottawa Richmond Pole Replacement – Information Session

  • Richmond Arena 6095 Perth Street Richmond, ON, K0A 2Z0 Canada

Starting in the summer of 2017, Hydro Ottawa will be conducting a pole replacement project in the Richmond neighbourhood.

Pole replacement involves excavating and replacing existing poles located on your street and/or in your backyard. Structures built around the poles could impede access for replacement/repairs, and may be required to be removed. Vegetation may also have to be removed.

This work is necessary to ensure reliability of electricity supply in the area.

Affected streets: Huntley Road (between Garvin Road and Perth Street), Moore Street, Gertie Street, Dr. Neelin Drive, Grovewood Lane, Arlberg Lane, Oradea Crescent, Queenston Drive

Project start date: Early Summer 2017
Project completion date: Late Summer 2017

Hydro Ottawa will be hosting an information session to provide details regarding this upcoming project and explain how it might impact residents. It will be taking place at the Richmond Arena on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 between 7 and 8 p.m.

This information session is an opportunity for residents to connect with Hydro Ottawa employees who are leading this project and to find out more about the overall plan. By holding this information session, Hydro Ottawa wishes to address customers concerns (tree trimming/cutting, removal of fences, pools, etc.) prior to the start of the project. Click here for more details
